La historia del Hearthstone World Championship 2026 terminó con un nuevo campeón.

El jugador chino OTGxhh derrotó 3-1 a XiaoT en la gran final disputada durante BlizzCon 2026, arrebatándole la posibilidad de hacer historia como el primer bicampeón mundial consecutivo de Hearthstone.

XiaoT llegaba a la final como campeón mundial defensor y con la oportunidad de conseguir un segundo título consecutivo, algo que ningún jugador había logrado anteriormente en la historia del campeonato.

Sin embargo, OTGxhh consiguió recuperarse después de comenzar la serie en desventaja y encadenó tres victorias consecutivas para quedarse con el trofeo.

El duelo comenzó favorable para XiaoT, quien consiguió llevarse el primer encuentro utilizando su Rogue frente al Priest de OTGxhh.

La respuesta del nuevo campeón fue inmediata: consiguió imponerse en el segundo juego con Priest frente al Druid de su rival y posteriormente ganó con Death Knight ante el Warrior de XiaoT, colocando la serie 2-1.

El cuarto enfrentamiento terminó siendo definitivo. Ambos jugadores utilizaron Druid, pero OTGxhh consiguió imponer un planteamiento más agresivo, mientras que una Rustrot Viper destruyó rápidamente el Staff of Trickery de XiaoT.

La presión sobre el tablero terminó inclinando la partida y le permitió cerrar la serie con marcador de 3-1.

El resultado también representa un triunfo particularmente llamativo por la selección de mazos de OTGxhh.

De acuerdo con los reportes del torneo, fue el único participante que llevó Death Knight en su alineación, una clase considerada poco competitiva dentro del metajuego del campeonato, y aun así consiguió utilizarla con éxito durante la final.

UN PREMIO DE 100 MIL DÓLARES

Además del título mundial, OTGxhh se llevó 100 mil dólares como premio por el primer lugar, parte de una bolsa total de 500 mil dólares destinada al campeonato.

XiaoT terminó como subcampeón con 60 mil dólares, mientras que Curfew y McBanterFace compartieron el tercer lugar, con 40 mil dólares cada uno.
